Do licensed casinos offer better bonuses?

Not really. Licensed casinos (67) averaged −€229.07 true value; unlicensed (7) averaged −€149.36. Bonus value is driven by wagering terms, not licence — a fully-licensed operator can still run a trap bonus, and often does.

Methodology

For each casino we take its primary welcome offer and compute the true expected value: bonus cash (plus free-spin value) minus the expected cost of clearing the wagering requirement — turnover × house edge, at an assumed 96% average slot RTP — capped by any maximum-cashout limit. A bonus is a “trap” when that value is zero or negative. Figures are computed live from our operator database and update as terms change. Play-through weighting and per-game RTP vary in practice; this is the statistical expectation, not a guarantee.
